Windows 10 cumulative updates have a long history of failed installs, now a number of users report difficulty to install this update As previously users report latest update fails to install with error 0x800f0900. Now A new issue (same updates install Again And Again ) users report on the Microsoft forum:
Windows 10 Update Infinite Loop
I’m in the infinite loop of the Windows 10 version 21H1 update. It always tells me to reboot to install and then it fails to install, only to repeat over and over and over. How do I get out of this loop??
Many users complain that cumulative update KB4284835 pushes their systems into an infinite reboot loop after the first install. Specifically, even though KB4284835 is listed as successfully installed, the update is once again downloaded and Windows Update requires a reboot to complete the process. The same thing happens over and over again, despite KB4284835 seemingly being installed correctly every time.
There are various reasons the cause windows 10 to install the same updates again and again but the corrupted windows update Database ( Software distribution folder – Where windows temporarily download updates before applying them to the system ) is the most common reason behind this problem. And almost every user marked reset the update components as a working solution to fix the windows 10 update infinite loop.
