Perform Startup Repair

Now When Read first Insert a bootable media device in your computer and power the button on. While boot process Press Del, F10 / F2 (depends on your PC) to open the boot from options. Use arrow key to move boot options Here Select First boot device CD/DVD ROM or  USB ( if you are using a bootable USB drive) Now press F10 To make save changes. This will Restart windows And it should lead you to the Windows installation screen now, Here skip the first window on the Next screen click on Repair your computer.

C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution

Right, click on the Software distribution folder -> properties -> uncheck the Read-only mark. Again Right-click on the software distribution folder and select Delete. do the same with the catroot2 folder.

Again open the command prompt and start the stopped services by performing the below commands.

net start wuauserv

net start bits
