Apps missing after Windows 10 update? Here how to get them again

As We, All know Microsoft Rolled out the Windows 10 update for Everyone. Compatible Devices Automatically upgrade To the latest version. Also, Microsoft Released the Upgrade Assistant tool and media creation tool for a smooth upgrade process. But not everyone is having a smooth upgrade experience. While the update brings a number of changes and additions to Microsoft’s operating system, it has also brought problems for some people. Some Users Report After upgrading to Windows 10 some of the apps are missing from the Start menu.

After installing the windows 10 update, some apps are missing from the Start Menu on some devices. The missing apps are no longer pinned in the Start Menu, nor are they in the list of apps. If I search for the app, Cortana is not able to find it and instead points me to the Store to install it. But the Store says that the app is already installed.

Well if you are also struggling with this problem, here apply the solutions below to reinstall Windows 10 apps.

Repair or Reset Missing apps via Settings

If any specific Apps causing the issue or missing then the Repair or Reset option is a handful solution.

Uninstall and reinstall the missing apps

If that doesn’t help, simply uninstall the affected apps via Apps & Features and then reinstall them from the Windows Store.

Re-register all built-in Windows 10 apps

If the above methods fail to fix or have issues with the number of apps Then Re-register all Built-in Windows 10 Apps is very helpful to fix.

Get-AppxPackage -allusers | foreach {Add-AppxPackage -register “$($_.InstallLocation)\appxmanifest.xml” -DisableDevelopmentMode}

Go Back To the previous Version

If all the above methods fail, Then simply go back to the previous version of Windows, go to Settings > Update & security >Recovery > Go back to your previous version of Windows. And Follow on-screen Instructions from here.  

Note: Windows Go Back to the Previous Version of Windows option will not appear if more than 10 days have elapsed since your upgrade to Windows 10 update.

After Successfully rolling back to the previous version simply Set the Windows Defer upgrade option To Delay Install and upgrade new updates. And wait for Microsoft to fix the bug with the next update.
