First close the Edge Web Browser if it’s running or move task manager under the process tab look for Microsoft Edge, right-click on it, and select End Task. After that close The Task Manager Window.

Now open This PC, Click the View tab, and then check the Hidden items ( As Shown Bellow image ) checkbox to see all hidden files and folders.

Now  Navigate to the following directory:

C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Local\Packages ( Where “C” is the drive where Windows 10 is installed, and UserName is your account name. )
Here you will see the package Microsoft.MicrosoftEdge_8wekyb3d8bbwe, Right-click on it and select properties. Hereunder General tab > Attributes, uncheck the Read-only check-box. and click apply.

Click ok When when the confirm attribute changes screen opens. Now again right-click on package Microsoft.MicrosoftEdge_8wekyb3d8bbwe and select Delete and close the window.

Re-register Microsoft edge

We now need to re-register Microsoft Edge. To do so, open Windows PowerShell with admin rights by typing PowerShell in Start/taskbar search, right-clicking on Windows PowerShell in search results, and then click Run as administrator option. Click the Yes button when you see UAC prompt.

When the power shell opens type the following command and hit Enter

Get-AppXPackage -AllUsers -Name Microsoft.MicrosoftEdge | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register “$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml” -Verbose}

This will re-install the Edge browser. Once done, you will receive an Operation completed message.
Restart your Windows 10 computer and see if this has worked for you.
