  • ren C:\Windows\System32\catroot2 catroot2.old
  • net start wuauserv
  • net start cryptSvc
  • net start bits
  • net start msiserver

After that Type, Exit To close the Command prompt window And Start windows normally. Now check and install the latest available updates from Settings -> Update & Security -> Windows updates -> Check for Updates.

Run SFC /Scannow Command

Again You can boot into safe mode open the command prompt as administrator then type sfc /scannow command. It will repair corrupted system files which may have been causing your PC stuck on getting ready. As a result, You will not face that problem again in the next restart.

If sfc / scannow results windows resource protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them, That cause run DISM tool which repairs the system image and enables sfc to do its job.

Perform a System Restore

If the above methods ( startup repair, uninstall recent windows updates, reset windows update cache ) are still not able to fix Windows 10 getting windows ready stuck issue, then you can simply go for a system restore. As windows is stuck on the getting ready screen and prevents to access a normal desktop that causes again you need to access the advanced option to perform a system restore.
